John Aubrey Kopplin

John Aubrey Kopplin passed into his eternal life Tuesday, the 23rd of June 2020, at age 65 years. John had an insatiable interest in learning how things worked, spending much of his childhood ‘tinkering’, which led him to attend Michigan Technological University and pursue a career in industrial sales.

He enjoyed racing cars, skiing, boating, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family at his favorite place – Clark Lake.

John was an active member of the community, always offering help to anyone in need. Strangers were just friends John had not met yet. He was a proud Commander of the Sons of the American Legion Post 315. He was a believer in Christ and a long-time member of the Brooklyn Presbyterian Church along with his wife.

John is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Lori Kopplin; his two daughters, Jennifer (Andrew) VanDokkumburg and Allison (Leo) Bryan; his brother, Thomas (Deborah) Kopplin, his sister, Susan (David) Kienholz along with a beloved niece and six adored nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John, and Jean (Melling) Kopplin and his sister, Carol (Kopplin) Ludwig.

A public visitation will be held at Eineder Funeral Home in Brooklyn from 10 a.m.-noon on Wednesday the 1st of July 2020. A private service for the family will follow the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials to the Brooklyn Presbyterian Church and the Brooklyn American Legion Post 315.
