Cecilia Louise Bauer Miller

Her legacy . . . Cecilia Louise Bauer Miller, age 86, longtime resident of Brooklyn, passed away Aug. 8, 2016, at Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility. Cecilia was born in Brooklyn June 15, 1930, the daughter of Alphonsus and Helen (Bartlett) Bauer. She was employed with the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier for 35 years serving Brooklyn, Jackson, Munith and surrounding areas, as well as bartending at the Beach Bar and delivering the Jackson Citizen Patriot. Upon moving to Ocala, Fla., Cecilia took a position with Publix Grocery as a food demonstrator. While living in Florida, she attended Blessed Trinity Catholic Church and enjoyed visiting the sick.

Her family . . . Cecilia is survived by her children, Dennis Miller, Rollin (Deborah) Miller, Lorraine (Joseph) Carey; one brother; five sisters; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cecilia Ann Duncan; two sisters; and five brothers.

Her farewell . . . A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. Interment at St. Mary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Manchester. In her honor, memorial donations may be shared with Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility.
