Richard Lee ‘Dick’ Rosynek

Richard Lee “Dick” Rosynek, 80, of Grass Lake Township, formerly of Napoleon, passed away at Henry Ford Allegiance Health July 12, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by three daughters, Shelly Rosynek, Penny (Curt) Gifford and Kristin (Mike) Wood; six grandchildren, Sarah (Kevin) Day, Ryan (Sara) Bush, Amy (Erik) Baum, RJ (Jenna) Shaugnessy, Brianna (Marty) Grace and Shauna Wood; great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Jessica, Raylan, Peyton, Trey, Clara and Briella; siblings, Joan (Duane) Iverson, Judy Mohlman, Janet Rochefort, Joy Rosynek, Jill Cochran, Jim  and Jay (Marilyn) Rosynek; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Madeline (maiden-Burton) Rosynek.

Dick was very proud of being a long-time farmer in the area, he retired as a heavy equipment operator at Michigan Trenching, in his youth was a Golden Gloves Boxer, he belonged to Our Lady of Fatima Parish and the Knights of Columbus Bishop Zaleski Council. He was a long-time member and past president of the Michigan Center Lions Club.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate his life and remember how he touched the community will be held at the funeral home Sunday, July 21, 2019, at 1 pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Sunday one hour prior to service time.

Contributions in his memory are directed to the Michigan Center Lions. The Lions Memorial service will be held Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. Arrangements by Arthur-Day Funeral Home, LLC, Michigan Center.
