Patricia ‘Patti’ Kakaley

Patricia Marie Kakaley, 78, passed away on April 21, 2020. She was born on October 11, 1941, in Detroit, Mich., to Clarence and Marie (Geil)Foley. Patti married, Karl Kakaley, on June 25, 1992, in Gibraltar, Mich. She will be remembered for her positive attitude and happy soul. Patti was fiercely independent, liking to do things herself, yet never complaining. She could find the good in everyone, with a smile on her face. Her favorite saying was “make a sunny day even in the pouring rain”. Patti was a member of the Ford Yacht Club and loved being on the water, sailing. She also enjoyed quilting and painting. Patti and Karl lived on Crystal Lake where they made many good friends and hosted the annual “3 Soup Sunday” for many years. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Patricia will be missed by her husband, Karl; her children, Karen (Mark) Rodgers, Keith (Megan) Walker, Karl J. (Jennifer) Kakaley, Kristopher P. Kakaley and Lisa K. (Joseph) Koss; grandchildren, Kristina “Bean” (Steven) Allen, Zachary Rodgers, Samantha Walker, Jacob Walker, Alyssa K. Kakaley, Jessica J. Kakaley, Cristina (Cody) Piekarz and Kendra Koss; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister-in-law, Ron (Lynn) Foley and daughter-in-law, Julie Walker.

Patti’s family held a private ceremony at Eineder’s Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Brooklyn Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice of Jackson.
