Mona L. Johnson

Mona L. Johnson, 86, of Napoleon Township, passed away at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home on Sunday, November 29, 2020. She was born July 17, 1934, to Lyle and Viola (Fransted) Antcliff and graduated from Napoleon High School in 1952 and then from Cleary College in Ypsilanti.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert P. Johnson in 1981; her son, Michael Johnson in 2003 and her brothers, Byron and Keith Antcliff. Mona is survived by five children, Eric Johnson, Tim Johnson, Karen (Doug) Blair, Theresa (Mark) Parzych and David (Mickey) Johnson; many grand and great-grandchildren.

After decades of service, she retired from University Microfilms in Ann Arbor. In retirement, she also worked at Brite N Clean Laundry and Pamida, both in Brooklyn. Mona enjoyed cross-stitching, sketching and time with her children, and especially her grandchildren.

Her family would like to thank Trisha for her many years of caregiving and Mickey for being there in her times of need; to Region 2 and their caregivers Lisa and Lori; also, to the caring staff at the hospice home.

Private interment services were held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Napoleon with Pastor Tom Duckham officiating. For those who wish, contributions in Mona’s memory to Region 2 Area Agency on Aging, P.O. Box 189, Brooklyn, MI 49230 would be appreciated.
