Lowell D. Marsh

Lowell D. Marsh of Evart, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at his home in Evart Township. He was 83.

He was born May 29, 1933, in Liberty Township, Mich., to Fred and Eva (Adams) Marsh. He married Judith A. DuVall March 10, 1964, on the island of Oahu. Lowell lived in Laton, Calif., and Brooklyn, Mich., prior to his enlisting in the Army in 1950. He retired as a first sergeant in the Army and has lived in the Evart area since 1972. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in Vietnam three times.

Lowell is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judith A. Marsh of Evart; four amazing children, Barbara McBride of Honor, Mich., Michael Marsh of Farwell, Mich., Jeffery Marsh of Huntsville, Ala., and Timothy Marsh of Dexter, Mich; six grandchildren; and one sister, Barbara Sorgenfrie of Waldron, Mich. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Fred Yeider; and a brother, Robert Marsh.

Memorial services for Lowell D. Marsh are 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, at VFW Post 7979, Evart. Memorial contribution may be directed to Hospice of Michigan.
