Joseph William Catalano

Joseph William Catalano, age 77, of Clarklake, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, July 30, 2016. He passed under the care of Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Care, where he had been a patient for a short time finally succumbing to his cancer.

Joe was born Feb. 8, 1939, to Rose and Peter Catalano. Both preceded him in death. Joe attended Detroit schools and made a 36-year career with General Motors at Willow Run retiring in 2001. Joe spent the last 20 years in the Lake Columbia/Clarklake area. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. He enjoyed the auto show and the weekly car shows at Big Boy in Brooklyn.

He is survived by son, Timothy Catalano of Jackson; granddaughter, Jessica Catalano of Redford, Mich.; great-granddaughter, Eve Stoddard and great-grandson, Aiden J. Catalano, also of Redford.

No service will be held, cremation has taken place and Joe’s remains will be placed on a mountain in Alabama at a future date per his wishes.

He will be sadly missed by Shirley, Steve, Susan, Joey, Baylea and their extended families.
