Elinor Joanne Leppert

Her legacy . . . Elinor Joanne Leppert, age 85, lifelong resident of Brooklyn passed away Feb. 23, 2016, at Allegiance Health. She was born Feb. 25, 1930, in Jackson the daughter of William J. and Elnora B. (Milligan) Donahue. Elinor married Everett C. Leppert June 6, 1964, and he preceded her in death. She was a 1947 graduate of Jackson High School, went on to Michigan State University, and then employed as an accountant for several years. Elinor was a member of the Irish Hills Women’s Club and Brooklyn Presbyterian Church where she was previously active as an elder and deacon. During her retirement, Elinor and Everett enjoyed traveling to Rogers City and Hoeft State Park to camp in the fall. She was a true giver and enjoyed knitting slippers for hospitalized veterans. Elinor will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

Her family . . . Elinor is survived by her children, Candy Baschal (Greg Shepard), Dr. Holly Leppert, Dr. William (Jennifer) Leppert, Sherry (Dr. John) Campbell; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; special friend, Sharon Condra; and loving companion dachshunds, Cami and Duffy.

Her farewell . . .
