Donald Wayne Lambert

Donald Wayne Lambert, 60, of Addison, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at his home.

He was born on February 28, 1959, in Hollywood, Fla. He was raised in Hazel Park, Mich., and then he moved to Addison in 1975. He attended Addison Schools and then he worked construction around the Addison area. Don enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, mushroom hunting, history, reading and electronics.

Lambert is survived by one son, Anthony (Samantha) Denney of northern Michigan and one daughter, Cassie Carpenter and her fiancé Joseph Smith of Addison; his loving partner of 43 years, Lori Carpenter of Addison; two sisters, Carol (Darwin) Snead-Yanakeff of Addison and Josie Farley of Indiana; four brothers, Billy (Lourie) Yanakeff of Manitou Beach, Dave (Rosemary) Yanakeff of Jerome, Robert Yanakeff of Addison, and Ray Farley of Raytown, Mo.; four grandchildren, Brandon, Joey, Abigail, and Owen; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a special cousin, Diane Howard.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Stevens; his foster parents, William and Darleen Yanakeff and his sister-in-law, Melissa Cousino; his father-in-law, Eddie Carpenter; and special loved ones, Jean and Grady Stovell.

Cremation has taken place. He was a Gift of Life Donor. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Don’s home.
