Her legacy . . . Carol Ann Taggart, age 73 of Brooklyn, formerly of North Miami, Fla., passed away July 5, 2016, at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. She was born Dec. 1, 1942, in Greenville, S.C., the daughter of Arthur and Edna (Pittman) Schwartz. Carol married Jerry T. Taggart June 16, 1962, in North Miami Beach, Fla., and he survives. She was employed for several years as a “test driver” for Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn. However, Carol’s greatest love was for her family and being a homemaker. She enjoyed spending her free time gardening and sharing precious time with her husband.

Her family . . . in addition to her loving husband of 54 years, Carol is survived by her children, Jeff (Camille) Taggart and Debbie (Mike) Cramer; grandchildren, Daniel J. Taggart, and Jenea (Nathan) Uncapher; great-granddaughter, Mavis; siblings, Patricia Schwartz and Bruce (Barbara) Schwartz; several nieces and nephews.

Her farewell . . . Carol’s family will greet friends Friday, July 8, 2016, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Braun Chapel beginning at 3 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m. with Pastor Ned Bernstein officiating. Interment Highland Cemetery. In her honor memorial donations may be shared with the American Cancer Society.
