Her legacy . . . Anne Marie Seifert, age 62, of Jerome, passed away Aug. 2, 2016, at home under the loving care of her family and Great Lakes Caring Hospice. She was born Aug. 29, 1953, in Jackson, Mich., the daughter of Rose Ann Smith and Gustav J. Wittenberg Jr. She graduated from Columbia Central High School and then Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Anne married Mark A. Seifert July 16, 1983, at St. Joseph Shrine Catholic Church and he survives. She was employed as a dental hygienist with Dr. James Schindler and Dr. Robert Rando. Anne attended The Universalist Unitarian Church of East Liberty. Her gentle spirit, love and devotion to her family and friends will always be remembered by those who loved her.

Her family . . . In addition to her loving husband, Anne is survived by her mother, Rose Ann; children, Korinne Elizabeth (Drew) Posey, and the first live quadruplet birth at the University of Michigan Medical Center, Lindsey Marie Seifert, Mason Anthony Seifert, Sarah Ann Seifert and Andrew Gustav Seifert; siblings, Eric, Woody, Fern; aunt, Helen Dusse; brother-in-law, Charles Pearson; sisters-in-law, Sherry Wittenberg and Arlene Wittenberg; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Anne was preceded in death by her father, Gustav John Wittenberg Jr.; nephew, Jason C. Wittenberg; and grandparents, Willis and Clarissa Smith, Gustav Wittenberg Sr. and Fern Wittenberg.

Her farewell . . . Anne’s family greeted friends Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016, at the Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Braun Chapel. A memorial service was held Friday Aug. 5, 2016, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Cynthia Landrum as officiant. In Anne’s honor, memorial donations may be shared with Great Lakes Caring Hospice or Karmanos Cancer Center.
