Rosalind Hawley

Her legacy . . . Rosalind Hawley, age 98, lifelong resident of Napoleon, went to be with her Lord and Savior at Jackson County Medical Care Facility Jan. 22, 2016. She was born Jan. 30, 1917, in Hanover Township, the daughter of Carl J. and Edna (Finch) Lent. Rosalind married Erwin F. Hawley March 12, 1941, in Napoleon and he preceded her in death.

Her family . . . Rosalind is survived by her daughters, Rosanne E. Hawley and Linda R. (Tim) Groesbeck; siblings, Barbara Smith and Betty Weesner; three grandchildren, Kerry Holtz, Kathy Ruocco and Troy Groesbeck; six great-grandchildren, Andy and Amber Hills, Kyle and Kayla Jackson, Christopher and Connor Groesbeck; numerous great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Rosalind was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings.

Her farewell . . . Rosalind’s family will greet friends Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Braun Chapel, Brooklyn. Gathering will continue Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home until the time of Rosalind’s community farewell at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rob Schneider officiating. Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Napoleon. In Rosalind’s honor, memorial donations may be shared with the family for future designation.
