Tracy Lee Ahern, age 52, of Onsted, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016, at his home.  He was born Oct. 1, 1963, in Lansing, the son of Karen S. Camilleri and Brian W. Ahern. Tracy graduated from Onsted High School in 1981, and University of Maryland in 1991. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for more than 10 years during Operation Desert Shield/Storm.

Tracy co-owned Double AA Builders with father. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and boating.

Surviving Tracy are his daughters, Breanna Ahern of Onsted and Cortney Riggs of Saline; parents, Karen S. Camilleri of Big Rapids and Brian W. Ahern of Onsted; brother, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Ahern of Jackson; aunts and uncles, Ken (Jerie Lou) Meier, Wayne (Vicki) May, Dennis (Linda) May and Bob (Karen) Camilleri; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends, Sheila, Dan, Scott and Mark.  He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ron Camilleri.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the Dunn Chapel, Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Onsted with Deacon Gene Hausmann officiating. Full military honors will follow under the direction of Durkee-Seager Post #550 American Legion of Onsted. Visitation was held Monday, April 11, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be made at a later date in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Williamston on the family plot.
