Margaret Maybee

Her legacy . . . Margaret Louise Maybee, 84, of Jackson, passed away Friday, July 26, 2019, surrounded by her loving family at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home. She was born on February 25, 1935, in Reed City, Mich., to John and Alda (Ingersoll) Schade.

Ever since she was a little girl, her life’s mission was to be a pastor’s wife, and that life mission became a reality when Margaret married the love of her life, Milan Maybee, on June 26, 1954, in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, church secretary, organist, pianist, worship director and Sunday school teacher. She was an active member of the Heart O’Lakes United Brethren Church and Eden Church. Margaret was also a dedicated employee of Borek Jennings Funeral Homes for many years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Her family . . . Margaret will be missed by, her adoring husband of 65 years, Rev. Milan Maybee; her loving children, Mark (Gail) Maybee, Paul (Kathy) Maybee, Mary (Craig) Durst, and John Maybee; her beloved seven grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings.

Her celebration . . . Margaret’s family and friends gathered Sunday, July 28, 2019, at Heart O’ the Lakes United Brethren Church (7031 Jefferson Road, Brooklyn) where her service of remembrance was held. Pastor Tim Flickinger and Pastor Cyle Young officiated.
