Ivaleta (Iva) Eggleston

Ivaleta (Iva) Eggleston, of Brooklyn passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side Thursday, April 14, 2016. She was born in Grant Township, Mich., April 6, 1931.

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Francis Abbott; husband, Robert Eggleston; brothers, Leland, Leroy and Ronald Abbott, and sister, Norma Divert.

She is survived by her daughter, Trudy (Ed) Taylor and sons, Rodney (Debra) Eggleston, Robert (Alberto) Eggleston, Kenneth (Kathy) Eggleston and Timothy (Wendy) Eggleston. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and dozens of nieces and nephews.

Iva worked hard all of her life to provide a good and loving life for her family. She loved to camp, spend time with her family and get the best deals on Thursdays at yard sales.

A gathering of family and friends took place at the American Legion in Brooklyn Sunday, April 17, at 2 p.m. A special thank you to Kathy Eggleston and all those who cared for her in her later years.
